The Next Step is shaped by two ideas: discipleship and family.
So, if you come out and join us for a Sunday gathering, think of it as getting the family together to hang out in your living room. It’s an informal environment where you can just come as you are – dressed up, dressed down, whatever. Come looking like yourself and feel free to be yourself. As a family we value honesty, authenticity, love and loyalty. We’re always adopting.
Discipleship is the meat and potatoes of the family kitchen. Okay, maybe we’re over stretching the analogy, but the point is this: Christians grow through discipleship. We grow through committed relationships where we are challenged to put the Word of God into practice and be transformed into the likeness of Jesus Christ. So, as we gather in the “living room” as the Christian Family, we’re going to talk about life with open Bibles. Expect to have an opportunity to respond to scripture personally and in coordination with others in the church each week. We don’t just read the Bible, we’re trying to live it.
A lot more could be said about worship, the Bible, etc., but the best way to get to know us is just to come out and visit. We meet at 11am at 450 W. King St., York, Pa 17404. We have about a half hour of snacks and fellowship before and after the service, so don’t worry if you’re running late. Hang around. We’d love to get to know you better.
Hope to see you soon!
